University

The majority of our students go on to university, and we’re set up to give you the best possible chance of getting into your first-choice course. We provide one-to-one support with your UCAS application and personal statement, and can help you prepare for interviews and selection tasks.

Higher and Degree Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships are a great route into a career, and they’re increasingly competitive. We’ll advise you on the many ways to find one, which employers are currently offering opportunities and help you prepare for every stage of the selection process.

Employment

If you’re heading straight into work,
we can support you with your CV, run interview workshops, and point you towards employers who are actively recruiting.

Further training

There are many routes beyond a traditional degree, from employer-led training programmes to government initiatives and graduate schemes.
We’ll help you understand what’s
available and what fits your goals.

Gap year and volunteering

Taking a gap year can be a fantastic way to gain new skills, earn money, or give yourself time to decide on your direction. We can advise on the opportunities available and how they connect to your longer-term career plans. We also host online Q&A sessions for parents and carers to help the whole family feel prepared for this transition.

Don't worry if you're
not sure yet

Plenty of students arrive at Xaverian without a clear idea of where they’re
headed, and that’s completely fine.
You’ll have time to explore, learn, and discover what excites you.

Our Careers Team will be with you throughout. We act in-line with the CDI’s Code of Ethics, which means we won’t push you towards a particular path. We’ll help you find your own.

For parents and carers
We know that supporting a young person through this transition can feel just as daunting for parents and carers as it does for students. Our team runs dedicated online Q&A sessions to walk you through the options and answer your questions. Keep an eye on the College calendar for upcoming dates.
