Around 60-70% of Xaverian students who study Music A Level go on to study Music or Music Technology or a combination of both at universities and conservatoires. Students often specialise in classical music, pop, jazz, composition, musical theatre, and music technology. Many go onto professional entertainment careers in bands, choirs, theatrical ensembles, opera companies and orchestras, and they also become outstanding classroom and instrumental/vocal teachers.

Every subject at Xaverian develops skills that go beyond the classroom. Based on the Skills Builder Framework, a nationally recognised tool for building essential skills, here are the three this course focuses on.
