Extended Project Qualification

“Taking on the EPQ was the perfect opportunity for me to apply skills I’d learnt from my A Level subjects, as well as develop personal and interpersonal competencies, including research and planning, independence, communication and public speaking through presenting my EPQ in the style of a TED Talk. I believe all my subjects helped me to build confidence in managing a long-term project independently and prepared me for the style of work I may experience in the future at university. 

I decided to complete the EPQ as it offered me the chance to develop skills that would be useful in later life when pursuing my further education, whilst exploring a subject of my choice that already interests me. Examples include research skills, judgement skills, critical skills, time management and experience of writing pieces of work to a high academic standard.”
