Fundraising, volunteering, charity events and community initiatives run throughout the year. Core RE gives you the thinking behind the doing – and the doing gives the thinking real weight.
“Our Core RE session are a compulsory part of our timetable where we learn about different religions and have lots of topical debates. It also made me feel more connected to the College because people from all different subjects were in the same classes. I was able to get further involved in the RE department by helping at Open Days, volunteering for a local food bank, and going on trips to Liverpool, Rome and a pilgrimage to Wales. I don’t follow religion myself but the RE department encourages all students to get involved in activities and make a difference to local communities.”
